The Beach Part 2

Disneyland

About mid week on our trip to the beach we headed to Disneyland. It was so crazy hot, but so fun and as always so worth it. I think I get as much joy out of Disneyland as my kids do. Disneyland just gets it. Luckily there were plenty of frozen lemonades and pineapple floats to refresh us during the day.

We signed up for Disney's "Give a day Get a day" program back in March. Rex, Ryan, and I volunteered up at Red Butte Gardens for an entire day planting, cleaning, transferring dirt around, etc. Rex worked really hard, and it was actually alot of fun to be working alongside him. We had a lot of good chats just the three of us. It was great. The best part was we got three free tickets to Disneyland.

Here is Jedi training camp where Lucy and Tenley were selected to train and fight Darth Vader. I really think Lucy and Tenley are definitely Jedi material...no doubt. This process is really fun to watch. Another new Disneyland favorite.

The Beach Part 1

We spent 10 days at the Beach this year. It was so great. So relaxing. So beautiful. And I didn't want to come home.



The first couple of days were a little cooler and windy. So we spend time bike riding, walks on the beach, and just hanging. We also went to the Long Beach aquarium again and my dad got the older kids a special whale watching excursion. They saw plenty of dolphins up close and an enormous blue whale. The kids were thrilled. Here they are on the boat below.

BYU Soccer Camp

This summer has been so busy. I can't believe we are headed into to August in not too long....I can't even think about it. We started things off with a week long Soccer camp down at BYU. Rex had a great time with his buddy Will. Between Ryan, my mom, my SIL, Rebecca, and the Snows we somehow got them down to Provo each day and back. They met some cute friends from all over the place. It is crazy how far people come for these events. All in all it was well worth it.
